Many of us have heard "our hand are tied" from our local officials. This video shows the viewer the many ways a community's hands are not tied and how the wireless industry has created a fearful environment for communities, making them feel they have zero legal ability when siting wireless infrastructure. Using tobacco strategies and legal spinning, the industry is trampling the rights of local government and citizens. But brave cities have stood up and found ways to stand up to the powerful telecoms, proving their hands are NOT tied!

This is a video put out by Jonathan Kramer, founder of Telecom Law Firm. He relays that site developers, like Crown Castle, will build 5G poles and antennas “as fast as possible and as cheaply as possible” … that’s their job. Their duty is not to the community, it’s to wireless company shareholders. “Your doing it on the cheap is exactly what you’re supposed to do.” - He admits in the video that "I'm on your side."
He also makes fun of people who suffer symptoms caused by wireless radiation, and assures his audience that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) doesn't apply to small cell placement.
Kramer also makes fun on his blog of the firefighters who have fought to keep cell towers away from their stations. Medical writer and honorary Fire Fighter Susan Foster testified to the Malibu City Council, on Sept. 29, 2020 that law partners Jonathan Kramer and Tripp May are principals in another business, Permit Team LLC. She wrote:
Jonathan Kramer, Robert C. "Tripp" May and Lory Kendirjian are the three principals of Permit Team LLC. This company specializes in permitting cell towers. Kramer describes Permit Team LLC as an arm's length away from his law business.
Attorney Scott McCullough also testified to the Malibu city council, dated Aug. 24 2020 stating that Kramer is incorrect on many levels, from stating 'any opinion regarding whether 5G (or any other 'G') is safe is outside the bounds for a local government.'
"We urge you to compare the actual statutory language with the Kramer Memo characterizations of that language.
Nothing in the statute prevents the Council from being aware of significant health or environmental concerns or articulating those concerns outside the context of an individual permit decision. The statute rules out a basis for individual permit denial but it is not a wide-ranging gag order....
Equally important, the statute does not purport to extend any restriction or prohibition on ordinary citizens that have legitimate concerns about the safety of this technology. Those concerns are warranted and legitimate."

The current pandemic has exposed the reality that America’s telecoms have failed to deliver the high speed broadband they had promised and that telephone customers paid for.
Today, millions of people are without high-speed internet access, not only in rural areas, but also throughout inner cities, with low income areas hit the hardest. This unequal access to broadband is called the "Digital Divide."
The telecoms built much of the fiber optic network they promised the American public (and which is needed for their 5G network), but failed to connect millions of customers who had paid for fiber optic connectivity through rate increases on their phone bills.
Now, every city and every state is looking for solutions to fix this ‘have and have not’ situation - and to fund safe, secure, fast, and reliable infrastructure. Wireless companies are pushing their agenda hard, but unregulated wireless is no solution!

At a Sonoma Planning Commission meeting September 12, 2019, Lee Afflerbach, a consultant from Columbia Telecommunications Corporation was explaining the difference between the radiation from a small cell tower versus a macro tower to the planning commission. He states in the video at time 3:10:24, “To get around the capacity issue — it’s because so many people are [wirelessly] streaming video and other services like that, they [Verizon] have to have multiple sources for this. That’s why we have the smaller cells because each [small] cell is capable of almost putting out the same energy as one macro cell.” Another commissioner asked the question below. The answer at time 3:13:22 is below. .
Sacramento is first to 5G with 6 antenna already constructed and others under construction. Verizon is now asking households in Sacramento, as of August 2018, to put 5G routers in their homes as a “free trial”. Here are Verizon’s 2017 comments regarding Federal streamlining of wireless expansion. Los Angeles New York, Seattle and others are soon to follow.
“Four students and three teachers at Weston have been diagnosed with different forms of cancer since 2016. In addition, two preschool-age children living near the school have been treated for a malignant tumor and leukemia, and a Modesto family says a 22-year-old former student of Weston underwent surgery last year for a brain tumor.”
Ripon California School District officially asked Sprint, the wireless company to remove the cell tower from the elementary school after four students and three staff developed cancers. As of March 28, 2019 the antennas have been turned off.
During a Senate hearing asking Telecom Industry leaders if there have been any studies or are there any planned research studies to show whether 5G is safe. Everyone of these leaders said "no." Nor the FCC or the FDA have provided any scientific data showing the safety of 5G even though the FDA website states that more studies are necessary.
According to Dr. Melnick, who led the design of the NTP study, the FDA has responded to the NTP study with inaccurate statements. Dr. Melnick answers questions from Theodora Scarato, Dr. Devra Davis and others to clarify these points.
The truth about mobile phone and wireless radiation: what we know, what we need to find out, and what you can do now" Presented by Dr Devra Davis, Visiting Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, and Visiting Professor of Medicine at Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey. The Lecture What are the health effects of mobile phones and wireless radiation? While Australia has led the world in safety standards, including compulsory seat-belt legislation, plain packaging on cigarettes, and product and food disclosure legislation, it falls behind in addressing the significant issues associated with mobile phone use. In this Dean’s Lecture, epidemiologist and electromagnetic radiation expert, Dr Devra Davis, will outline the evolution of the mobile phone and smartphone, and provide a background to the current 19 year old radiation safety standards (SAR), policy developments and international legislation. New global studies on the health consequences of mobile/wireless radiation will be presented, including children’s exposure and risks.
Sam Roe, a Pulitzer prize winning journalist for the Chicago Tribune, found the Apple 7 phone and Samsung phones emitting higher levels of radiation when testing was done in 2019. The French government also tested phones in 2015 which came to be known as Phonegate. They found 9 out of 10 phones tested exceeded the levels that manufactures report. When tested in contact with the body, some phones results are as high as triple the manufacturer’s previously reported radiation levels. .
